2009 UAW REGION 1 DIRECTOR'S SCHOLARSHIP

UAW Region 1 is pleased to announce that scholarships are available to those students who are children or grandchildren of Region 1 Local Union members graduating from high school this year, or are current college students. The scholarships will be awarded through the UAW Region 1 Scholarship Fund, administered by the Community Caring Program. The number of scholarships awarded and the stipend amount varies from year to year, depending on scholarship program fund levels. The eligibility requirements and application form for the UAW Region 1 Director's Scholarship are available under the tab that says UAW Region 1 Director's Scholarship. This scholarship program is open to all students who have reached a high level of scholastic achievement and are interested in continuing their education. We encourage all Region 1 members and retirees who have children or grandchildren who are still dependents and are entering college or university this fall or are already in college or university, to urge the students to apply for these scholarships.
