If management insists on
proceeding with the interview, make it clear that you are proceeding
under protest.
If you start the interview
and become disturbed by the direction it's taking, stop and request that
your union representative be present before continuing.
Remember these magic
words: "If this meeting
could in any way lead to me being disciplined or terminated or affect my
working conditions,, I request that my steward or union representative
be present. Without union representation i choose not to answer any more
questions."
