then the next step is to sign a UAW authorization card. This
card will be used to secure recognition and collective bargaining for the
purpose of negotiating wages, hours, and working conditions.
Signing a UAW authorization card means

It
is the policy of the UAW to waive initiation fees for ALL employees who
join the union before thirty (30) days after the signing of an initial
collective bargaining agreement.
